Gluten Free Falafel Burger by KunoichiVixen Gluten Free Falafel Burger by KunoichiVixen
This is made of the following:
* Store-bought gluten free burger buns (brand Gluten Freedom by Venerdi in New Zealand) toasted with garlic and butter
* Organic alfalfa sprouts
* Store-bought yoghurt and cucumber dip (tzatziki)
* Home-made baked falafels
* Colby cheddar cheese

You can read about how I made the baked falafel (and subsequently this burger) here: [link]

PS: This is my 100th deviation!

I knew the first time I tried a falafel I'd fall in love soon with it.

More healthy than frying it so that it's soaked in oil! I am enjoying the baked version a lot more.

YUM!!! I just made falafel for my hubby and didn't realize it had wheat in until the last minute. I was bummed.

Aww, sorry to hear about the wheat! Going gluten-free is one of the big reasons I really got into cooking and baking from scratch. I used to make packet meals all the time and consider it cooking. It's nice knowing more about what I'm eating now, although I only have myself to blame if I eat something that's bad for me, hehe.
I just made these same baked falafel patties again to use up my excess chickpeas and it's really proving itself as a win for my family.

:eager: I'm excited! dA is a great place to find recipes, which I didn't really think about at first.
